About SWISS KRONO Kft. in Hungary

Founded in Vásárosnamény, Hungary in 1988 as INTERSPAN Faipari Kft. and now called SWISS KRONO Kft., this firm was the SWISS KRONO GROUP’s first production site outside Switzerland. It initially specialised in manufacturing raw and coated chipboard for furniture and interior finishing. In recent years, however, the international demand for high-quality OSB products has surged – and SWISS KRONO Kft. has responded. From 2016, the Hungarian plant will produce three versions of SWISS KRONO OSB/3 on a state-of-the-art new ContiRoll^® press.

Thanks to the new Siempelkamp system, the Vásárosnamény production site is at the forefront of technology. The press, which measures 2.8 by 28.8 metres, continuously produces SWISS KRONO OSB/3, which enables us to ensure first-class quality with improved thickness tolerances.
